At a Presentation in the Show dairy You can follow the production process from the milk to the golden yellow cheese through a large window front. You will also learn more about the connections between nature conservation, agriculture and food production.
Of course, the presentation also includes tasting of the different types of Ettaler “Kas” (included).
Once you've got a taste for it, treat yourself to a cheese snack in the Stüberl, where you can convince yourself of the excellent quality and excellent taste of the products (not included in the presentation).
The approximately 3.000 liters of milk that are needed daily for the show dairy come from the cooperative members' businesses.
As part of the “Germany - Land of Ideas” competition, the show dairy was named “Selected Location 2006”. 37 farmers from the Ammergau Alps have joined forces to form the show cheese dairy cooperative Ammergauer Alpen eG in order to process and sell the high-quality milk from their cows into healthy milk and cheese products.
