The summer of 2025 in the Ammergau Alps Nature Park will be musically colorful and culturally diverse: Two outstanding festivals will take place this summer: the BK Open Air in Bad Kohlgrub and the Heimatsound Festival in the Passion Play Theatre in Oberammergau. 

BK Open Air 2025 – Musical enjoyment in the Bad Kohlgrub spa park 

On July 4 and 5, 2025, the Bad Kohlgrub spa gardens will once again be transformed into a festival stage. The BK Open Air enters its third season and presents a diverse lineup of established artists and up-and-coming talents from the Bavarian and Austrian region.

Thanks to the cooperation with the dialect network meiVEREIN eV, there is also a separate stage for young dialect artists such as de EVA and Anheizholz.  

A special highlight is the overnight package "Brunch and Flair, BK Open Air", which includes not only the festival visit but also an exclusive brunch together with the band Unlaengst on the morning after the first day of the festival.

Heimatsound Festival 2025 – Sound diversity in the Oberammergau Passion Play Theatre 

On August 8 and 9, 2025, the Oberammergau Passion Play Theatre will open its doors for the Heimatsound Festival, which has provided a platform for authentic music from Bavaria and the Alpine region since 2013.

The festival features a blend of traditional sounds, indie folk, and modern pop and rock elements, offering a stage to both newcomers and established artists. Here, exciting newcomers get a chance to shine—and musical heroes of the scene demonstrate how they continue to delight audiences.
