Between the end of November and mid-December 2026, seven Christmas markets will take place in the Ammergau Alps Nature Park: in Oberammergau, Unterammergau, Bad Kohlgrub, Bad Bayersoien, and Altenau. Unterammergau Christmas Market
In Unterammergau, visitors will find handcrafted and homemade items, suitable for the Christmas season or for the rest of the year.

Oberammergau Christmas Market - The market with heart!
The 44th Oberammergau Christmas Market takes place on the first Sunday of Advent in front of the parish church of St. Peter and Paul in Oberammergau . A wide variety of delicacies, handcrafted items, and works of art are available, making the market a popular attraction for locals and visitors alike. All proceeds go to charitable projects in the region and benefit needy individuals and families from the Ammer Valley.

Traditional Christmas market in Bad Kohlgrub
The traditional one Bad Kohlgruber The Christmas market has been held on the second Sunday of Advent for decades. Everything sold here is handmade. The proceeds go to people with disabilities in the region.

Christmas craft market in Oberammergau:
Artists from the fields of woodcarving, pottery, glassblowing, ceramics, jewelry design, pewter casting, quill embroidery, porcelain painting, chamois beard making, reverse glass painting, watercolors, stylish greeting cards, elaborate embroidery, and valuable Christmas decorations will be on display. Visitors can even watch some of the artists at work.

Christmas in the Brandstatt in Bad Bayersoien
Saint Nicholas has a little surprise in store for the young visitors. There will be plenty of delicious treats, including cookies, hot mulled wine, and much more. A live nativity scene will also be on display.
Of course, there are in Bad Bayersoien There were also many stalls selling homemade goods.
The proceeds from the sale will benefit a social institution.
