Botanical hikes through the Pulvermoos
When the last snow has disappeared in spring, a carpet of flowers sprouts in the Pulvermoos nature reserve, becoming more and more colorful as the weeks go by: the pink primrose, the white alpine butterwort, the rich yellow globeflower and the blue gentian all make their appearance. Months later, the spring flowers are replaced by wild orchids and magnificent summer flowers: flesh-colored orchids, greenish-yellow honey orchids and the blue Siberian iris thrive alongside small colonies of white cotton grass and shimmering pink marsh trefoil. Due to its size and state of preservation, the moor is one of Bavaria's internationally important moors.
