With the ranger to the living rooms of wild animals
Who leaves these tracks? Together with our ranger, you can playfully discover the tracks of deer, foxes, martens, or birds like blackbirds, finches, and crows. But we won't find the tracks of animals like the hazel dormouse, the edible dormouse, or the hedgehog – because they are hibernating. Animals like the badger, the squirrel, and the hare are also in a state of winter dormancy, during which they slow their heartbeat and breathing and don't want to be disturbed. Our ranger explains why it's so important to respect wildlife sanctuaries and protected areas in winter. We'll also learn fascinating facts about how wild animals cope with the harsh struggle against cold and hunger during the cold season and how each of us can help them.
