Alpine Coaster Oberammergau

The start is at an altitude of 1.258 meters at the Kolbensattelhütte in Oberammergau. You can either reach this with the Kolben chairlift or take a leisurely hike up in just over 1,5 hours.

The two-seater comfort sleigh then takes you down into the valley through 73 curves at a top speed of 40 km/h. You sit comfortably in seat shells with high backrests and three-point seat belts. If 40 km/h is too fast for you, you can regulate the speed of the Alpine Coaster independently using 2 brake levers.

Children under 3 years of age are not permitted to travel for safety reasons; children up to 8 years of age travel as passengers with an adult. From the age of 8 and a height of 1,40 m, children can try themselves as “alpine pilots” on the coaster.

The toboggan run is particularly safe thanks to a modern magnetic braking system - so that rides are possible all year round (except during maintenance periods and weather-related closures).
