Geotope
The Rochusfeld in Bad Kohlgrub is a typical raised moor landscape in the foothills of the Alps.

Due to changing climatic conditions, the fen first formed with mosses, grasses, bushes and trees. In the oxygen-poor and acidic water of the lakes that remained from the glaciers, the plants did not rot, they turned into peat. As a result, these lakes gradually silted up and the moor built up layer by layer.

The people of Bad Kohlgruber have always used the moor for their own purposes. While these pieces of moor peat were previously used primarily for heating, this valuable moor has been used as a natural, healthy remedy since 1870 after its healing properties were discovered.

The holistic healing power of the moor stimulates metabolism and blood circulation, has a hormone-regulating effect, strengthens the immune system and ensures deep relaxation.
