From the April 01th to May 17st, 2026 in the Ammergau Alps Nature Park under the motto “The Ammer Valley is boiling” Culinary magic once again. 

In the restaurants Altes Sägewerk, s'Wirtshaus Oberammergau, Restaurant Uhrmacher im Hotel Böld, Hotel Schillingshof, the Parkhotel Bayersoien and on the Hörnle Hütte you will be treated to a special menu that is only available during this period in the restaurants.

s'Ammertal kocht - How do I get my culinary voucher? 

  • Choose your gourmet restaurant with menu

  • Booking in the experience shop: Add your selection to the shopping cart and complete the order.

  • You will then receive a booking confirmation via email.

     

  • Your printed voucher will then be sent by post or can be picked up at the Oberammergau Tourist Information Office (during opening hours).

  • Reserve your table directly with the restaurant you've booked. The best way is by phone. 

  • Enjoy your "s'Ammertal kocht" menu

Hörnle Hut

Enjoy regional culinary delights in our alpine hut at 1390 m altitude: hearty dishes made with local game and traditional fare, freshly prepared with ingredients from the surrounding area. A true treat for lovers of authentic alpine cuisine.

The Hörnle Hut is a mountain hut with a breathtaking panoramic view above Bad Kohlgrub. It is currently only accessible on foot, as the Hörnle cable car is undergoing renovations. 

The experience at the Hörnle Hut includes:

Appetizer: Trout | House-cured venison ham | Potato | Wild garlic
Main course24-hour cooked pork belly | Red cabbage salad | Bread dumplings
Dessert: Apple | Blueberry | Almond  

A vegan/vegetarian option is offered.

Hotel Schillingshof

Come in and feel at home. The restaurant is a successful blend of modern style and Bavarian charm. What began as a farm in 1832 evolved into a guesthouse after World War I, and for over 70 years now, it has been welcoming guests. Today, the menu ranges from regional and seasonal dishes to international cuisine, all freshly prepared for you by our creative kitchen team.
 

The experience at Hotel Schillingshof includes:

Ammergauer Royal (Ammergau hay liqueur topped with Prosecco)
Appetizer:
Ammergau cheese soup with croutons
Main course:
Tafelspitz (boiled beef) from Ammergau pasture-raised cattle with root vegetables served in its own broth in a kettle, accompanied by buttered potatoes and fresh horseradish. 
Dessert:
Honey parfait from our own beehive - with fresh fruit

Parkhotel at Soier See - African Lounge 

Whether Cape Malay fish curry, springbok carpaccio or bobotie - let yourself be surprised by the “Culinary Safari”.

Old sawmill

At the "Altes Sägewerk" restaurant, regionality is a top priority. You'll be treated to traditional Bavarian dishes based on grandma's recipes, as well as creative creations. Immerse yourself in the delicious variety, characterized by a tasteful selection of fresh, local produce.

s'Wirtshaus

Welcome to s'Wirthaus in Oberammergau, your cozy hotel and restaurant, welcoming guests in the heart of Oberammergau since 2010. We are located directly on Sternplatz, near the historic Pilatushaus, and offer a family-run atmosphere with Bavarian, international, and Mediterranean influences.
