Mountain tour from Ettal to the Ettaler Manndl (1633 m) with via ferrata.
The beginning on Ettal Monastery and the view from Ettaler Manndl to the Zugspitze massif form a harmony of natural spectacle and cultural monument that is rare in the German Alpine region. At the end there is a wait ferrata the difficulty levels AWAY.

Directions
From the parking lot Ettal Monastery go past the Show dairy. You will soon take a forest road further into the mountain forest. The forest road ends and turns into a narrow hiking path. About the Tiefental forest hut Hike further up the mountain in steep serpentines to the entry point below the large one Boulders of the Ettaler Manndl.
During the first few meters on the rock, test whether you feel safe on the way to the summit (Via ferrata set absolutely necessary!). You climb up into the small gap on fixed wire ropes, then follow a ledge of rock up to the left through the wall and finally climb directly and steeply to the Pre-summit, the Ettaler female, up.
It's only a few steps over the gap and a short gully to the summit cross.

Please note that the last stretch to the summit Ettaler Mandl a via ferrata Difficulty level A/B is. We recommend only going on this mountain tour with appropriate equipment (helmet, harness, via ferrata set)!
