Mountain tour - ridge crossing in the royal hunting ground

The tour begins in regal style at Linderhof Palace . A somewhat steep climb leads up to the Brunnenkopfhäuser , a former hunting lodge of King Maximilian I.

Now, one peak after another lines up like pearls on a string. After passing Dreisäulerkopf, Hennenkopf, and Laubeneck, you reach the next royal hunting lodge – the Pürschlinghaus.

From the Pürschlinghaus you hike back towards Unterammergau. Shortly after the Pürschlinghaus you will find a sign that will direct you towards Kolbensattelhütte.

At the end of the tour, the sun terrace of the Kolbensattel Hut awaits your visit, before the descent to Oberammergau via the Crucifixion Group. Tired hikers can shorten the tour down to the valley using the Alpine Coaster.

From here you can take the bus back to Linderhof.

Tired hikers can shorten their tour from the Kolbensattel hut with a ride on the Alpine Coaster down to the valley.
