This climb is about shortest variant to the summit of the Kreuzspitze (2185 m). highest mountain in the Bavarian part of the Ammergau Alps.
About the gravelly riverbed walk past the place where the Hunding hut that King Ludwig II had built there in 1876. After having one twice Fire victim fell, it was rebuilt in 1990 in the park of Linderhof Castle, where it can still be admired today.
The further climb is steep and difficult. The small ridge hike on the Schwarzenkopf is very impressive and requires a head for heights. After easy climbing and the short summit ridge you reach the summit of the Kreuzspitze.
The tour is one of the most spectacular mountain tours in the Ammergau Alps and is a good one Condition, alpine experience and absolute surefootedness ahead.

Directions
From Ammerwaldstrasse at the seven sources (parking lot) walk left over the debris flow of the Neualmbach and then up the dry river bed. Here a path branches off to the left. This takes you on a path through the high forest in serpentines up to the Hochgrieskar.
Pass a shelter hut and go onto the Grat in the Schwarzkopf. After this little one Ridge crossing Continue hiking between pines to the Summit structure of the Kreuzspitze. The most demanding part of the mountain tour now begins. Over Slabs and gravel climb towards the Kreuzspitzgipfel summit.
In many places you have to use your hands, but without having to climb properly. Further up, the terrain leans back again and now the goal is almost reached.
You cover the last few meters of altitude to the summit via a flat path and have fantastic views of the Ammergau Alps, Lechtal Alps and the Wetterstein block with upstream Eibsee.
Return to the valley via the same path as when you climbed up.
