This long-distance cycle path from Lake Constance to Königssee (418 km) crosses the Ammergau Alps from Trauchgau to Bad kohlgrub and further Eschenlohe.

 

From Lindau in Westallgäu you cycle on the total 418 kilometers of the cycle path, through the regions of Oberallgäu, Ostallgäu, Pfaffenwinkel, Ammergauer Zugspitz region, Tölzer Land, Tegernsee-Schliersee, Chiemsee-Alpenland, Chiemgau to the Berchtesgadener Land at the Königssee. On the bike tour you overcome pleasant, varied stages overall over 3.300 meters in altitude.

Ammergau Alps stage
From Trauchgau to Altenau you drive on the Königsstraße through the Halbammer valley. Passing the Altenauer Moor you reach Bad Kohlgrub via Saulgrub until you leave the Ammergau Alps towards Murnauer Moos.
