Directions
We start the tour at the Murnauer train station and drive south past the Ähndl through the species-rich Murnauer Moos. We drive uphill towards Bad Kohlgrub. In Bad Kohlgrub we keep left after the mini golf course and cross the main street and follow the signs to "Kraggenau" and, after passing the Aura Hotel on the right, we reach the small town of Wurmansau. At the first intersection we keep right. and then turn left towards Unterammergau. We drive along the left bank of the Ammer first to Oberammergau and then on towards Ettaler Mühle. We reach Graswang via the Sonnenweg. From there it goes through the forest up to the Rotmoosalm and back down towards Grießen. Attention: The gravel can be coarser on the descent! From Grießen we follow the “Neidernach” river to Plansee. From Plansee we follow the tar road back to Linderhof. It's worth taking a detour to the castle. Via Graswang and Ettal the Alte Ettaler Straße goes to Oberau - this is a pushing route with a steep descent and very coarse gravel. From Oberau we mostly follow the Loisach via Eschenlohe and Ohlstadt back to the starting point in Murnau.
