Directions

You leave Unterammergau on Scherenauer Straße to the north. In Scherenau turn left and a little later through the ford of the Scherenauer Laine at a small one Kapelle .

After a climb in the forest and on Cross “Mary helped” go downhill to the right, always following the main path until you reach the asphalt road. There you turn left and drive on the asphalt road, “Unternogg” passing, to the parking lot at the Halbammerbrücke.

You keep left and drive along the Halbammer. After about 3 km (at a fork in the road) cycle right over the bridge, after another 200 m right again and on the road forest road becoming steeper uphill. At the next crossroads, take the forest road downhill to the right, the eastern slope of the “Hochwildfeuerberg” crossing.

You will come to another forest road and continue to follow the signs downhill. After about 1 km, turn right onto “Königstraße”, along which you will come to an asphalt road. You cross the Halbammerbrücke and then turn left back to Altenau.

Am Extinguishing pond turn right and drive past the church through the town. After the railway underpass, turn right onto Wurmansauer Straße. Take the connecting road south, past a gravel pit and later the sports field, back to Unterammergau.
