Directions
The Step parking am Pistons in Oberammergau Leave at the top parking lot and hike below Valley station of the Kolben chairlift past until you are behind the little one Bar with terrace, on the edge of the forest come across a path. This takes you along the Kolbenbach to Kolben Alm.
You follow this path further up the mountain until you come to an intersection where from the left the Königssteig, coming from the Kofel. At this fork, take the right path and from there walk the last few meters comfortably to Kolbensattelhütte.
The The route into the valley is identical like the climb.
Optionally, you can take the Alpine Coaster or the Kolben chairlift down to the starting point in the valley.
