At the beginning the path leads through Grinding mill gorge with their impressive waterfalls. You are on the trail of the Whetstone maker and encounter their former workplaces, which grinding mills. With the exception of one, which was extensively restored, these unfortunately only exist as remnants of the wall. After the grinding mills, continue through the gorge until you reach the forest road. Now we continue right towards Pürschlingshaus over the MaximilianwegAfter the route rejoins the forest road, it passes the Joseph Chapel, decorated with Lüftlmalerei (traditional Bavarian fresco painting). At Pürschlinghaus or August Schuster House Once you arrive, a stop at the sun terrace with its panoramic mountain views is well worth it. The Pürschling houses are former hunting lodges of King Maximilian I Joseph, father of Ludwig II (1845-1886), the fairytale king. Afterwards, the trail continues below the mountain range. Three-pillar head - Hennkopf and Laubeneck Continue along Maximiliansweg to the Brunnenkopf houses, also a former Hunting lodge of Maximilian IFinally, the descent leads to the royal palace grounds of Linderhof.
