Hut hike

A beautiful hut tour from Unterammergau through the worth seeing Grinding mill gorge using the Maximilianweg and at the Joseph's Chapel over to the August Schuster House. You can comfortably stop there with a beautiful view. Then we go back on the Plattenberg Ridge and at the Langenthal Alm .

At the beginning the path leads through Grinding mill gorge with their impressive waterfalls. You are on the trail of the Whetstone maker and meet their former workplaces grinding mills. With the exception of one, which was extensively restored, these unfortunately only exist as remnants of the wall. After the grinding mills, continue through the gorge until you reach the forest road. Now we continue right towards Pürschlingshaus over the Maximilianweg. After the route returns to the forest road, it leads past the Joseph's Chapel, which is decorated with Lüftl paintings. At the Pürschlinghaus or August Schuster House When you arrive, it's worth stopping off on the sun terrace with a mountain panorama. The Pürschlinghäuser are former hunting lodges of King Max II Joseph, father of Ludwig II (1845 - 1886), the fairytale king.
Continue following the picturesque path and over the Plattenberg Ridge and the Langethal Alm walk back to the parking lot.
