From the valley station of the Laber mountain railway or the parking spaces at that WavesMountain The path leads over the Kainzen and Schnitzlergraben along the Wiesmahd slopes to the beautiful Berggasthof Romanshöhe. Numerous benches offer various views, for example of Kofel, Passionstheater, Oberammergau and Unterammergau. If you want to put your feet up now and then, you can do so on this tour. The path consists almost entirely of easy-to-walk gravel paths. The terrace of the Romanshöhe offers both a view and comfort. Here you can relax and enjoy food and drinks. Opening times are Saturday to Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m. The return route is the same.

9606 Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Oberammergau - Wieskirche - FüssenWalk from the Aufackerstraße bus stop: Follow Aufackerstraße towards the north. At the end of the street, turn right into Ludwig-Lang-Straße and walk until you reach the fork. Here keep left and follow Himmelreich until you reach the parking lot of the former swimming pool. Once you have arrived at the parking lot, you can begin the hike to Romanshöhe.
Train stop: Oberammergau station (30 min. walk to the starting point)
Murnau - Bad Kohlgrub - OberammergauWalking from the train station in Oberammergau: Leave the train station and follow the main street towards the town center. When you reach the big right-hand bend, turn left onto Dorfstrasse and follow it past shops until you reach the village square. Turn left past the Hotel Wittelsbach into Sankt-Lukas-Straße. You will come across a small stream, walk along it uphill until you reach the parking lot of the former swimming pool. Once you have arrived at the parking lot, you can begin the hike to Romanshöhe.
