If you follow the Fiffi dog tour, you can get to know the beautiful Oberammergau better while walking and, when the weather is good, you can see the Kofel most of the time. Benches to relax and dog toilets and trash cans can often be found along the route.

The Fiffi dog round starts in the Bahnhofstrasse at the Ammerbrücke. From here you can follow the blue sign with the white dog.

Please note on the round:

  • From meadows, pastures and public paths must dog poop be collected, even in winter. Dog feces in their food can cause farm animals to become ill.
  • Please Hundekotbeutel do not leave it lying in the landscape! There are enough dog waste bins for this.
  • During growing season, in Ammertal that is the period between 01.04. - 31.10. Meadows are not allowed to be entered. The also applies to dogs!
  • Always keep your dog within your sphere of influence.

At the beginning of the tour, the path runs along the Ammer on a gravel path that is also used by cyclists. Like here, there are benches along the entire route that invite you to linger and enjoy. Before a small bridge with a wooden railing, the Fiffi dog group turns right onto a gravel path, here follow the course of the stream to the famous Passion Play House in Oberammergau. Arrived there on Heinzeller House to the left into the Feldiglgasse turn. Pass the Kreuzkirche and then turn left to the bridge, then turn right into the path Linen stains turn in. This path, which is on the Great Laine Always follow straight ahead for about 1 km (cross a street and walk along the street for a bit, the path then goes straight on into St. Gregor-Weg). At the end of this stretch along the Große Laine, turn right into the street On the Vorgstaig. Keep slightly right on the road Ludwig Lang Street cross and into the Aufackerstrasse turn in. There is a sidewalk on the right in front of the parking spaces. Go straight on this sidewalk until the path in At Rainenbichl passes over, then a little further until that Restaurant on the larch hill and then turn right onto the gravel path that leads into the forest. Dogs can run freely here. The gravel path ends at a road that is followed uphill. Past the parking lot, you go a little way into the Waldburg-Zeil clinic site, but don't let that get you confused until you reach the glass transition. Before that, keep right, then right again and then immediately left again into the forest. From here follow the gravel path downhill until it meets the main road (be careful: busy!). When you get to the street, cross it and enter Linder moss run. After the bridge, turn right again, past the Fairground. Continue following this path. The Labergraben flows to the right and is the camping park, while to the left there is a beautiful view of the Kofel. Cross the bridge on the right and then turn left again. The Fiffi dog group and the Waldi dog group converge here, which is why the sign with the white dog is now two-colored, half blue and the other half pink. It is again possible to let dogs run free on the gravel path along the Ammer. Dogs are also allowed to bathe in the Ammer, but this is forbidden in the Ammerquelle. This route is also part of the Ammer-Amper cycle path, which is why encounters with cyclists can occur more frequently. If you follow the path and cross a street, you will return to the starting point of the Fiffi dog tour at the Ammerbrücke in Bahnhofsstrasse.
