Dog round Waldi

At the Ammerbrücke in the Bahnhofstrasse The Waldi dog round begins, which is signposted with a white dog on a pink background. First the round leads to the Papistock Sports Center past a little to the west, where you then turn left into the Piston alley branches off. Follow this path, then turn left and at the Wankalm walk past. Here you can already see a beautiful view over Oberammergau. Before reaching the Kolben chairlift, the dog trail turns onto a gravel path that leads along the Kolbenbach and over two bridges. When it goes downhill again, turn right onto another gravel path at the level of the parking lot. This begins a little further Ammergebirge nature reserve, dogs should be kept on a leash here. In between it is always possible to look at Oberammergau or the Kofel consider. The path leads along the foot of the Kofel through a beautiful forest; it is particularly pleasant here for two- and four-legged friends, especially on hot summer days. At the point where the path splits, you can follow it downhill to the left. At the bottom turn right, cross the car park and then turn left onto a gravel path. If you walk under the large road (B23) and then over the bridge, you will reach the path that runs along the Ammer. Dogs can run freely in this section. Dogs are also allowed to bathe in the Ammer, but this is prohibited in the Ammer springs. This route is also part of the Ammer-Amper cycle path, which is why encounters with cyclists can occur more frequently. The Waldi dog group meets the Fiffi dog group here, which is why the sign with the white dog is now two-colored, half pink and the other half blue. If you walk along the Ammer and cross a street, you will return to the starting point of the Waldi dog tour. There are always dog toilets at the beginning and end of the round.

Please note on the round:

• From meadows, pastures and public paths must dog poop be collected, even in winter. Dog feces in their food can cause farm animals to become ill.
