Directions

From Wieskirche The Ammergau Alps meditation trail takes you along a dirt road to Rural adult education centere and after the seminar center buildings, take a left turn into the forest. You continue to follow the forest road along the Schwarzenbach, which you cross at the first opportunity.

Here we continue to the right towards the east. After a short climb at the junction, hike right up into a small forest. After crossing a stream there is a path that you first follow for a short distance to the left. Soon you turn right into the district of Holz.

The path continues to Wildsteig and via Kirchstrasse into the center to the Jakobskirche. Coming from the church, a footpath leads down the hill to the left. They cross the Dorfbach and walk up the street on the other side. At the top of the fork, keep left and then leave the town straight ahead.

A underpass takes you to the other side of the bypass. Immediately afterwards, turn right and continue walking left of the state road for approx. 1 km. After about half of this route, a path leads to the left. Follow this until you reach a small forest, then turn right.

On one meadow path Pass a farmstead to the left of the path and turn left at the next fork. The first houses in Rottenbuch can soon be seen on the right. You follow the road into the town and reach the main road. Cross this on the pedestrian crossing and then turn left to MonasteryRotten book.

From the Rottenbuch monastery complex your path continues towards Ammermühle, over the Ammer and on to Schönberg.

Pass the parish church and cross the town on the thoroughfare, follow the Südhang road and leave the town on the Hörnleweg. From here you can enjoy a fantastic view of the mountain panorama with the Hörnle and the mountain behind it Ammer Mountains. Then walk left along the state road for about 40 m and turn right into Wiesenweg at a small chapel. Now follow the signposts slightly downhill Bad Bayersoien.

At the next intersection, turn right and just before Lettigenbichl turn left. Follow the Achrundweg markings as a guide.

At the intersection keep right. At the next opportunity, cross the stream that accompanies your path on the left and go up a slope on the left.

At the next intersection, keep left on Schleifmühlweg and immediately follow a footpath to the right, which will take you directly to the Kapellenberg from Bad Bayersoien. From the memorial chapel you have a fantastic view of the entire town, the Soier Lake and the Ammergau Alps. Descend again via stairs, turn left at the bottom and turn left again into Kirmesauer Straße. On the right a footpath leads directly to the lake lake circuit.
