Directions

The route leads from Bad Kohlgrub over the Murnauer Moos to Murnau in a total of 6 stages. There it is a good idea to immerse yourself in the world of artists surrounding Wassily Kandinsky and Gabriele Münter in the Murnau Castle Museum or in the Münter House and perhaps rediscover one or two motifs already known from the hike. The second stage is dedicated to Lake Staffelsee with a boat trip and the moor area around Uffing. The next day we go along the Riegsee via the viewing point at the Mesmerkapelle via the Höhlmühle circular path to Aidling. You start your next stage from Aidling and reach Ohlstadt past the Riegsee and along the Loisach. There you can marvel at the Kaulbach Villa with its integrated village museum. The next day, a short stage takes you over the so-called Boschet to Eschenlohe. From there you start the next stage. This takes you through the Katzental, up the Ettaler Berg and finally to the Benedictine monastery in Ettal.
