Moorrunde - bike tour through Bad Kohlgrub, Bad Bayersoien & Saulgrub

We start at the train station in Bad Kohlgrub and head east. We drive on the wide paths towards Uffing, through a fascinating moorland landscape and a magnificent view of Lake Staffelsee. Once we arrive in Uffing, we continue in a northwesterly direction to Schöffau.

From there the path takes us further to Bad Bayersoien, past the picturesque Soiersee, back into the moorland and back to Bad Kohlgrub. There it continues via Saulgrub in a westerly direction to the Scheibum, the so-called Ammer breakthrough. We then drive back to Bad Kohlgrub via Unternogg, Altenau and Wurmansau.

From Munich via the A95 motorway in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, take the Murnau exit. Through Murnau along the main street to the junction towards Bad Kohlgrub. Follow state road 2062 to Bad Kohlgrub.

There are hourly train connections from Munich to Bad Kohlgrub with a change in Murnau.

Shortly after the Acheleschwaig inn (after crossing the Ammer) be sure to make a short stop to walk to Scheibum, the Ammer gorge.
