A beautiful circular hiking trail through the pre-Alpine moorland landscape for every season. In the summer months, show peat cutting takes place here.

In spring, hundreds of March cups bloom along the stream Carnations stand in the litter meadows. Bloom in summer orchids and many other wildflowers. Autumn inspires with Lungen - swallowwort and bog gentian. In winter, part of the path is groomed as a cross-country ski trail. It is a special experience Haselbachweg to hike through with snowshoes in shiny snow and sunshine.

Directions

From the parking lot, take the first steps back towards the town before turning right after about 200 m Haselbachweg branch off. After a few meters you have a wonderful view over the raised moor landscape and the town Schoenberg. After about 1 km turn you will see a sign “Meeting point for show peat cutting“. From June to mid-September, a couple from Bad Bayersoi will show you how difficult peat mining was in earlier times.

But they continue to follow the signs “Haselbachwegand now hike along a comfortable meadow path meandering Oh along. After you have passed a concrete bridge, you now cross the raised moor with its typical vegetation. Many different mosses, heather and pine trees line the path. The rare and therefore strictly protected one Sundew, an insectivorous plant, is still found in isolated places. After leaving the raised moor, turn left at the next intersection and, after a short climb, reach the tarred road. Here you turn left and head towards impressive views Hörnle and Ester Mountains rewarded for your efforts. After reaching the Kirmesauer Street It's just a few steps to the starting point.
