Circular hike - Haselbach round

From the parking lot, head back towards the village for about 200 meters before turning right onto Haselbachweg . After a few meters, you'll have a wonderful view across the raised bog landscape to the village of Schönberg . After about 1 kilometer, you'll see a sign for " Treffpunkt Schautorfstechen " (Meeting Point for Peat Cutting Demonstrations). From June to mid-September, a couple from Bad Bayersoien will show you how arduous peat extraction was in earlier times.

Continue following the signs for " Haselbachweg " and hike along a pleasant meadow path, always alongside the meandering Ach stream. After crossing a concrete bridge, you'll traverse the raised bog with its typical vegetation. Many different mosses, heather, and pine trees line the path. The rare and therefore strictly protected sundew , an insectivorous plant, can still be found in a few isolated spots. After leaving the raised bog, turn left at the next intersection and, after a short climb, you'll reach the paved road. Turn left here and you'll be rewarded for your efforts with impressive views towards the Hörnle and Ester Mountains . Once you reach Kirmesauer Straße, it's just a short walk back to the starting point.
