cosy Snowshoe hike for beginners. Panoramic view on the former hunting lodge of the Wittelsbach kings make this tour so worthwhile.
The tour was designed as part of the “environmentally friendly ski mountaineering” project German Alpine Club for the year 2015 in collaboration with local representatives (forestry, hunting and farmers).

Directions
From the parking lot at the Grinding mill/Steckenberg In Unterammergau you can get there via the gently rising forest road to Langthal Alm/mountain rescue hut.
Shortly before the hut, follow something to the left forest road becoming steeper. First you continue hiking through dense mountain forest. The final piece then runs completely through open terrain with a view of the daily destination and the Teufelstättkopf.
During the entire ascent you share the track with the tobogganers So you have to expect oncoming traffic.
We go back towards Unterammergau via the Ascent route back down into the valley.
