Spectacular exit route - the steep Nordkar is addictive in powder snow
The Kreuzspitze is one of the most popular ski touring mountains in the Ammergau Alps. The steep Nordkar is addictive when it comes to powder snow. However, the strenuous and steep climb has hardly any flat sections and is only possible in good conditions and for safe skiers.

Directions
From the parking bay on the street, first walk back a few meters to the path that runs down from the large north cirque of the Kreuzspitze. There are often a few cars parked on the side of the road. Here you climb down to the stream, cross it and start from here through the forest and the path into the Kreuzspitzkar. At the top, turn right out of the cirque and continue steeply to the mountain-lined western ridge of the Kreuzspitze and over this to the summit slope. From here you usually have to walk to the summit (rocky passages). If the conditions are very good, the summit slope can even be skiable (approx. 40 degrees).
