Directions
The hike starts on Othmar Weis's birthplace behind the tourist information. They go to Village street and turn right. You'll find it just around the corner Rott monument.
From here, continue walking to the right along the village street towards the exit of the town St. Mary's fountain. On the right we see it Giant ammonite in front of the house with the shop.
You now take a short detour and go straight ahead Waidaweg until the end. Before the entrance to the last house is on the left Atonement cross.
Then go back to the Marienbrunnen. You cross the bridge that leads over the main road. You will find this at the end of the bridge on the left Marterl am Spezerbichl.
Follow the road straight ahead into the Ludwigstrasse. At the point where the road bends to the right, you will find the on the left last millstone the old Soier mill. This is located at the signpost that points towards “Soier Mühle”.
You go back to the bridge and turn left there and continue along Ludwigsstraße until you reach the fork. There take the tarred road on the right Direction Gschwendt. A few meters later you will see this in a barn on the right Field Cross Niedermeyr.
Following the street you will reach the Gschwendt height with a beautiful one Viewing bench and the “Ziegler Marterl”. After a short rest, you continue hiking to Gschwendt. On the left you will see one wooden prayer chapelwho built the “outfields”. The outfields are the farmers outside the town.
The next destination on the road heading north is the village Echelsbach. In the center of town, take the path between the farms to the right and walk to the Gasthof Brückenwirt, By the Tunnels cross the main road and hike up the slope to Farm on the hill. You get to the tarmac road Schöpf estate/imperial seal, The one that was inaugurated in 1982 is located near the farm Imperial Seal Chapel.
Now go back to the main road and shortly before that turn right onto a gravel path towards Bad Bayersoien and follow this to a fork and turn left. After the second large intersection, just before a wood, turn right to a farm. When you turn left you will find a right Bench between two lime trees and behind it Upwind. This is what it is about Stadler field cross.
Continue walking towards the village and turn right at the next junction. Then right to the corner path and up 108 steps War Memorial Chapel. Enjoy the wonderful view over Lake Soier into the mountains and then head down the stairs back to the starting point.
