Sycamore, sycamore elm, winter lime, ash, rare ferns and mosses - who combine them in a unique Gorge forest biotope If you want to experience it, you can do so in the Ludwigsschlucht in Bad Kohlgrub.
along the from natural materials constructed Forest adventure trail discover the structure of trees from the bark to the heartwood. You can admire treetops and experience how the forest floor absorbs, stores and helps turn water into drinking water.
In the Locandy app, which was specially developed for families, the squirrel Fini accompanies hikers on their way through the Ludwigsschlucht and tells many exciting stories about the forest. In between there are always small tasks and puzzles that need to be solved. At the end, a small badge awaits you in the app as a reward.
That is how it goes:
Download the “locandy” app from the Playstore or Appstore. Then install the radio play into the app by:
- either look for the Timberland Trail with a magnifying glass (it already works at home) or
- Start the area search with the GPS symbol (only works on site)
Once installed, the game is in the app “Locandy”:
- Applicable offline
- depends on access to location data (GPS), as the content is activated directly on site
- An exciting audio play with fun gameplay. Please remember to bring headphones.

Directions
It starts in the spa park in Bad Kohlgrub. From there the trail runs signposted over the Mythenweg into the Ludwigsschlucht. At the fork in the road, turn left to the next station, then go back to the fork and follow the path further uphill through the gorge to Fallerstraße. The return route leads again through the Ludwigsschlucht and the Mythenweg back to the spa and tourist information.
