Winter hike - Scherenauer Runde

The tour starts at the parking lot at the grinding mill. You can also start the tour directly from Unterammergau or from the parking spaces at Steckenberg.

The circular tour follows the Schleifmühlenlaine towards Scherenau. The way back follows the Ammer from Scherenau towards Unterammergau.

With the perfect equipment, your personal winter day in the Ammergau Alps Nature Park will be unforgettable. You can rent the appropriate winter equipment such as Grödeln (spikes for hiking boots), hiking poles, snowshoes, sledges or cross-country skis at our rental stations:

Bus stop: Unterammergau town hall (15 min. walk to the starting point)

Footpath from the town hall: From the town hall, follow Dorfstrasse south, then turn right before the church onto Pfarrgasse and walk straight ahead towards the Kneipp treading pool. When you arrive at the old mill, turn left onto Pürschlingstrasse and reach the starting point.

Train stop: Unterammergau station (20 min. walk to the starting point)

Murnau - Unterammergau - Oberammergau

Footpath from Unterammergau train station: Cross the B2 at the pedestrian lights and then over the Ammerbrücke. Follow Pürschlingstraße to the starting point. This is located at the grinding mill parking lot
