The Zugspitze Region is a tourist association in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district, which includes six destinations: ZugspitzLand, the Karwendel Alpine World, the Blue Land, the Ammergau Alps Nature Park and the two towns of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Grainau. 

It is one of the strongest and most popular rural holiday destinations in Bavaria. The Zugspitz region stands for Fascination, dynamism, vision and persistence. Through the incomparable natural and adventure space, the magical landscape and unforgettable cultural experiences, these values ​​are brought to life and lived.

The Ammer-Amper cycle path

This route stretches along the Ammer and Amper rivers, starting in the Ammergau Alps Nature Park. With a total length of around 200 kilometers, the route can be completed in around four to five days. The Bavarian Alpine foothills along the way offer numerous sights and a varied landscape that can be ideally explored on two wheels. You can experience culture and customs up close in the towns along the route and in traditional beer gardens on the water.

The Ammer-Amper cycle path is an inter-municipal project by the Ammergauer Alpen GmbH, the Pfaffenwinkel Tourism Association, the Landsberg Ammersee Lech region and the districts of Fürstenfeldbruck, Dachau and Freising.

The Lake Constance-Königssee cycle path

455 kilometers from Lindau in Lake Constance to Schönau a. Königssee

The Lake Constance-Königssee cycle path offers a sporty way to discover the magnificent foothills of the Alps and its world-famous cultural monuments. Always following the northern edge of the Alps, it crosses the holiday regions of Allgäu and Upper Bavaria. The section of the route in the Ammergau Alps Nature Park runs from Unternogg via Altenau and Saulgrub to Bad Kohlgrub, and then continues through the Murnauer Moos into the adjacent region of the Blue Land.

The German Alpine Road

The Route of the Bavarian Originals, as the German Alpine Road is also called, strings one world-class attraction after another. The oldest trunk road in Germany runs 484 kilometers from Lindau in Lake Constance to Schönau a. Königssee. Rustic farming villages and historic towns line the route and traditional events provide an insight into Bavarian cultural heritage.
