Arrival by bus & train

The Ammergau Alps Nature Park is easily accessible by car Train from Munich to reach. In Murnau you get on the regional train (Ammertalbahn) and after a journey with fantastic views of the Alps you reach the towns of Bad Kohlgrub, Saulgrub, Altenau, Unterammergau and Oberammergau.

From Towards Innsbruck take the train via Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Oberau. From there, take regional buses in the direction of Füssen via Ettal to Oberammergau and the remaining nature park communities.

Mobile without a car

Being mobile without a car, without additional costs and without the hassle of searching for a parking space - this is possible in the Ammergau Alps Nature Park.

Here, guests of the Ammergau Alps Nature Park travel with the KING'S CARD or the electronic guest card not only since 2012 free of charge on the RVO regional bus network (Regional transport Upper Bavaria) so often you want, but also with the DB Regional trains.

The RB and RE trains run between Oberammergau and Murnau (and back) with stations in Unterammergau, Altenau, Saulgrub, Bad Kohlgrub Kurhaus, Bad Kohlgrub Ort, Grafenaschau and Murnau as well as on the route from Uffing to Garmisch-Partenkirchen (and back) .

Parking spaces and campsites in the nature park

The Ammergau Alps Nature Park has a variety of campsites, each offering a unique experience. Whether you're looking for solitude in the wilderness or prefer a family-friendly atmosphere, you'll find the perfect spot to pitch your tent or park the RV.

E-car sharing in the nature park

Ten sharing vehicles are available to locals and visitors, private individuals and businesses alike at selected locations. The purely electric vehicle models are used VW e-Golf, VW ID.3+4 and BMW i3that are for a modern, environmentally friendly and CO2-free mobility in the Ammertal.
