The clean-up event in the Ammergau Alps
Working together to clean up nature was the basic idea of the first Valley Green Up in the Ammergau Alps Nature Park, in which around 200 hiking enthusiasts participated. The three partners, the Ammergau Alps Nature Park, the Ziener company and the King Ludwig Lauf eV jointly launched the day of action in 2021.
The fifth Clean-Up Action Day is now scheduled for 2025. This time it took place on 19 July instead. Volunteer garbage collectors were once again on the move on almost 40 different tours, and on this day hiking and nature conservation were combined.
Valley Green Up process:
Pick up starter packs from 7am - 12pm at the Tourist Information in Oberammergau or from 9am - 12pm at the Tourist Information Bad Kohlgrub
Independent hiking tour in the Ammergau Alps Nature Park (note tour selection!)
From 14 p.m. get-together with the organizers and nature park rangers at Turnerweg 6a in Oberammergau (food and drinks included)
All participants received a free collection kit consisting of bamboo tongs and cornstarch bags. They also received other useful items for the tour.
Those who registered online could immediately choose their favorite route. Depending on their personal preferences, there was something for every fitness level and age, from flat to alpine tours.
