Kreuzkirche Oberammergau

Few Protestants lived in the Ammergau Alps, but refugees arrived after the First World War. And with the refugees came the desire and need to build our own church.

In 1927, an old farmhouse in Oberammergau was bought and converted into a church, including the stable and barn.

And to this day the building still looks like a cozy farmhouse with a tower.

The small church invites locals and guests to pause.
