Spa treatment in the Ammergau Alps Nature Park

Checklist for applying for a treatment

Moorland treatments in Bad Kohlgrub and Bad Bayersoien

The term “cure” encompasses a wide range of medical and therapeutic applications. In addition to the site-specific remedy, our mountain pine raised bog, massages and exercise also improve your health. The aim is to prevent illnesses and actively cure illnesses. The change of scenery from everyday life helps to bring body and mind back into harmony and strengthen them.

Spa treatments, including peat baths, are an important component of preventative healthcare and rehabilitation. For this reason, spa treatments are a mandatory benefit covered by statutory health insurance: Anyone with statutory insurance who meets the medical requirements is entitled to a spa treatment. This typically covers 100% of the costs of the spa physician and 90% of the spa treatment costs. In addition, there is a subsidy of up to €16 per day for accommodation and spa tax. Those interested should ideally discuss the possibilities and options with their family doctor.

How do I apply for a treatment?

To simplify the spa treatment application process, the Bavarian Spa Association provides an application guide. Simply pre-fill it and finalize it together with your family doctor.
