Product management and event support
In product management and event support, the development of new tourism offers is one of the main focuses of our core topics. Our product managers are experts in the areas of active, family, culture, health and sustainability. This includes, for example, the expansion and signage of the cycling, hiking and cross-country ski trail network in the region, as well as new product developments such as the children's holiday program “Junior Ranger on a Discovery Tour”, which interlinks the interests of the tourist region with the nature park in the Ammertal. This area of responsibility is also responsible for the conception and bookability of health tourism offers or the maintenance, design and establishment of new themed trails.
Marketing & Communication
The “Marketing & Communication” team is responsible for marketing the destination internally (hosts, stakeholders, citizens, politics) and externally (guests) and preparing topics about the nature park to suit the target group. This includes the conception, planning and implementation of effective marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and customer loyalty and the development and implementation of targeted social media strategies, especially on platforms such as Instagram.
The team organizes comprehensive press work and manages communication with customers via a wide variety of channels (e.g. homepage, guest and host newsletter, nature park magazine, classic advertising materials as well as product and community-specific flyers). Another part of marketing is the management of collaborations and the activation of sponsorships.
Digital projects and sales
The Digital Projects & Sales team is primarily responsible for the digital preparation and provision of data. This includes data on events, POIs, restaurants, tours and accommodations, experiences or packages. The aim is to make this data available to guests in high quality on the Ammergau Alps website. Ongoing optimization of the website and the connected systems, including search engine optimization and controlling, is a given. The “Digital Projects” department also includes the examination of digital trends and their applicability in tourism. Another part of the tasks includes the host service, the further development of the guest card, the booking system and sales.
Guest service & partner management
A central component of guest service and partner management is the operation of the seven tourist information centers in the region. The employees at the tourist information offices are the first point of contact for guests, hosts and partners. You will advise them regarding your stay, possible leisure activities, use of public transport, booking event tickets or accommodation. They are the face of the Ammergau Alps, have direct and personal contact with the guests and hosts and are available to answer any questions about your stay in the Ammergau Alps. Some tourist information centers also have a shop with regional products and a test center for hiking items and e-bikes.
Administration
The “Administration” team takes care of all processes and procedures in the background. About personnel planning, training and further education, financial accounting, controlling and accounting as well as purchasing.
