Both houses, located next to each other, are wonderful examples of Lüftl painting in Oberammergau
But these houses do not only exist as an example of Lüftl painting, because another artistic personality from Oberammergau was also born in the Dedlerhaus in 1779.
The composer of the most famous passion music, Rochus Dedler, was also a local schoolmaster. This old town house has been hosting guests from all over the world for over 360 years.
